We are a AmDram Group based out of Patchway Community Centre, Bristol.
Following the renovation of Phoenix Hall and its stage in 1999, David Goddard along with members of congregation from Horfield United Reformed Church got together to put on a pantomime; Babes in the Wood and Robin Hood.
In 2001, we were joined by Tracy Rogers and Helen Dunn. Together they directed our second and third pantos – Aladdin and Cinderella. Tracy went on to write (now as Stardust Scripts) and direct all subsequent shows with assistance from our Panto ‘Baddy’, Tim Scaplehorn.
Our talented group consists of: directors; musicians; choreographers; lighting and sound technicians; special effects engineers; costume seemstress; scenery artists; and approximately 30 cast members of all ages and talents.
With Tracy directing her own creations, we perform two shows a year: a Christmas Pantomime in January and a summer play (previously variety shows of sketches and songs).
Following the COVID-19 pandemic, The Phoenix Theatre closed and The Whitefield Players moved to Patchway Community Centre.
